I can make a connection to my webserver database through an ODBC -connection and a IP-address.
Is there a way of making a direct connection without an ODBC-connection by entering the IP-adresss diectly in DBExpress.

Can anybody help in this matter.
I have tried DSN=hostname=IP-address
and DSN=IP-address in the parameters, but that does not work

regards Niek

Hello,

try the following connection string:

Code:
LINKS=tcpip(IP=ip-address:port);ENG=server-name;DBN=database-name
